Many tombs are built into the mountains of Petra in addition to the famous Treasury

Many people think of the famous Treasury at Petra.  What many don’t realize is that Petra has a series of tombs built into the mountain walls in addition to the Treasury.  Since the tombs are carved in the soft limestone, they are easily weathered by the elements.  If you visit Petra, you can walk along the mountains and explore inside of the tombs.
